Short answer: For most restorative-focused practices, CEREC is worth it once you produce roughly 4–6 same-day crowns per week. At that volume, the lab fees you eliminate and the second appointments you avoid typically cover the investment within 18–36 months. CEREC is worth it if you value chairside control, faster turnaround, and same-day delivery. It's harder to justify for very low-volume practices or hygiene-heavy offices that place few restorations.
